RecordSeek “makes it effortless to record your source citations from the web.” They allow you to save any web page as a citation, which can then be imported into FamilySearch or Ancestry.
- Find a Hint you want to attach from a site other than FamilySearch (ie Ancestry or My Heritage).
- Click on “RecordSeek” on your computer.
- This screen will appear. Choose save to “FamilySearch.”
- Attach Source box which shows all Information for the source.
- Click Next.
- Attach source to person you want. By copying down their PID number and pasting it in the search box.
- A screen will come up allowing you to create and attach source.
- You will get a confirmation message that the source has been attached successfully.
